Located near Washington, D.C., ARI conducts revolutionary research in conjunction with corporate and federal partners in the region. Federal policymakers and major IT, computing, and communications companies rely on Virginia Tech’s faculty in-residence here, as elsewhere, for technical input and industry forecasting. Because of its close proximity to international embassies, ARI’s activities have a strong international component. Together with the Virginia Tech/University of Virginia Virginia Tech Northern Virginia Center, ARI serves as the university’s "front door" in Northern Virginia.
Located just inside the Washington, D.C., Beltway in Falls Church, the NVC is ideally positioned to interact with industry and federal agencies. NVC’s unsurpassed graduate programs, such as its master’s degree in information technology, are where the area’s technology workforce sharpens and expands a wide array of interdisciplinary skills needed to stay ahead.
